ART§CHOOL

The recreation of the school for art.

ART§CHOOL is in development. We are looking for your input.

Architectural Competition:

ART§CHOOL will launch in NYC in a building designed and built for the mission; each 5 years thereafter, this movable structure will relocate to another city.

ART§CHOOL will announce a call for entries at the beginning of its operations. Requirements for the building will be linked to the ART§CHOOL mission, but guiding principles/needs are:

A building structure that, whilst structurally sound, can collapse and move to another city repeatedly;

Allows enough floor space for studios, administration offices, faculty offices, and common spaces that can be reformed and partitioned if need be;

A building that is wired for the 21st century;

A building that allows expansion if necessary;

A building that can be replicated if necessary

A building that can attach itself onto existing structures.
